Today we will be showing you how to disable the seat belt minder/ chime on a 2014 Ford F-250.

So we can start by entering the truck and sitting in the driver’s seat. Once we are inside we can make sure all the doors are closed. The truck is in park. Next we can set the parking brake.

Next we can put the key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position. We do NOT want to start the truck just turn the key so they dash lights come on. Once we have turned the key to the ON position the seat belt light will illuminate on the dash.

We are going to wait until the seat belt light goes out before we perform the next step. We will also have 30 seconds to perform the next two steps. The light should go out after about one minute. Once the light goes out we can now buckle and unbuckle the driver’s seat belt THREE (3) times. Ending with the seat belt unbuckled.

Once we have finished with the three clicks the seat belt light on the dash will illuminate again at which time we will buck and unbuckle the driver’s seat belt one (1) time.

Once we have buckled and unbuckled the seat belt for the last time you will see that the seat belt light will now be blinking to confirm that you have successfully completed the steps within the 30 seconds and disable the seat belt minder/ chime.

I am sure this procedure will work on the 2014 F-250 can be found on page number 34 & 35 of your owner’s manual. It will most likely also work on the 2015 model. I am not sure if it will work on a 2013 or older or if it will on the F-150 or the F-350 and up so if anyone has one of these vehicles and wants to try it. Let us know if it works.

That’s it we have just showed you how to disable the seat belt minder/ chime on a 2014 f-250.
